District Muzaffar Garh lies in the form of strip between the river Chenab and Indus, which passes along the Eastern and Western boundaries respectively of the district and form a triangle at Alipur tehsil of the district. The district is bounded on the North by newly created district Layyah, on the South by Bahawalpur and Rahimyar Khan districts across the river Chenab. Districts Multan and Khanewal are on the Eastern side of district Muzaffargarh, across the river Chenab. District Jhang also touches on North-East. While Dera Gahzi Khan and Rajanpur districts lie on the Western side across the river Indus.
District Muzaffargarh is spread over an area of 8,249 square kilometers comprising of following four Thesils: -
ریلوے پولیس نے لاہور ریلوے سٹیشن پر ہونیوالے بم دھماکے کا مقدمہ درج کر لیا ہے ۔ابتدائی تحقیقات کےمطابق لاہور ریلوے سٹیشن پر دھماکا کرنے والا دہشت گرد مسافر کے روپ میں ٹرین میں سوار تھا۔ ریلوے سپرنٹنڈنٹ محمد اشرف کی در خواست پر مقدمہ نامعلوم دہشت گردوں کے خلاف درج کیا گیا ہے۔ریلوے پولیس حکا م نے بم دھماکے کی تحقیقات کے لیے اعلی سطح کی ٹیم تشکیل دیدی ہے ۔ذرائع کے مطابق لاہور ریلوے اسٹیشن پر دھماکا کرنے والا دہشت گرد مسافر کے روپ میں ٹرین میں سوار تھا۔لاہور اسٹیشن پر اترتے ہی اس نے دھماکہ خیز مواد سے بھرا بیگ قلی کے حوالے کردیا۔پولیس اہلکار نے آگے بڑھ کر بیگ چیک کرنے کی کوشش کی تو زوردار دھماکہ ہوا۔ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ اگردہشت گرد آگے بڑھ جاتا تو بہت زیادہ تباہی ہوتی۔
