Former Indian telecom minister awarded 5 yrs imprisonment

NEW DELHI: Delhi Court has awarded five-year imprisonment to former Indian Telecom Minister Sukhram, India media reported.

Sukhram was awarded five years imprisonment after being convicted of taking Rs. 3 lakhs Indian rupees as bribe to give a lucrative contract to a private firm in 1996.
